(1) Women are inherently competitive with each other and don't want to see each other succeed. By "conquering" a married man...they feel they have won. (Which in reality we all know that conquering a married guy is about as challenging as learning to open a drawer). A great book was written on this called "Tripping the Prom Queen" in which the author surmises that NO woman wants to see another woman succeed....ALL women secretely want ALL other women to fail.
(2) Because of this competitiveness, some (not all...) single women look at married women and think "I'm better than her....why can't I have him?" Then they set about getting him.
(3) (And I think the most obvious)....if the guy already got married once, then he is more likely to marry again...therefore the single woman's chance of getting together with someone who wants to get married increases.
Its all backward logic and nothing that I agree with...and I don't think that any of this happens on a conscious level. But, when you peel back the layers and ask yourself why single women love married men....I believe the aforementioned to be at least the beginnings of an explaination.
